Use a an API to obtain and synchronise data
PlannedAs a Architect with a need to interface with a another application
I want to connect to an application using an API
So That I can connect to a range of data sources that include applications
Benefits - Allow me to easily integrate existing services or features from other applications without actually developing the service or feature
Acceptance Criteria I can request data from an endpoint with necessary parameters to allow the source to process including the format / version / authentication (prob first cut as REST but maybe also SOAP)
Customer / Originator conversation between John McNaughton and Chris J and Alex B of dstl

Some of the work going on currently would support this direction if it could be generalised a bit. Fully support your request here. I think implementing a general REST API interface would be enough for most situations - I find most people are aware that SOAP and XML are not exactly modern.

Hi John and Soren, thank you for this post/comments, and the use cases you have provided privately!
We have had sporadic requests for a API, and are building use cases/requirements for consideration.
If any other users have suggestions for this feature, feel free to post them here, or email them to moodsupport@caci.co.uk if you'd rather share them privately!
