Dynamic depth of charts (e.g. Network Graph, Radial Chart, Relatedness Chart)
As a Solution Builder
I want to be able to create layers in the graph charts dynamically (e.g. by recursive queries) instead of statically (i.e. by determining the exact number and query for each level).
So That the charts which are generated can have the necessary depth for whatever structure you build out. For instance, there are situations when the depth of a hierarchy (whether modeled with the "tree hierachy" in MBA or through "part of" relationships) is not under my direct control but in the hands of the end user. In those situations, you are either forced to "flatten" the depth (viewing it as one level) or force depth-to-type consistency (e.g. all systems have N level before we get to component).
Benefits are (among other things) being able to present hierarchical structures in a graphical manner (which is a requirement to gain "high usability" in some user categories).
Acceptance Criteria
- Being able to select "follow to end and generate levels dynamically" or similar in graph charts.
- (optional) Being able to continue building layers after dynamic layers have been selected.
