Usable Grid Function

In MooD 16.032 you have changed the default measurement to pixels, which is awesome. It seems like you are using 100 ppi, so it was easy to switch from inches to pixels. After the change there were a few panels one pixel out of alignment. I guess it is due to the conversion - not a big problem.

However, the grid still only uses millimeters, so the grid is still utterly useless. I would like to have a grid that uses to default configured measurement unit - i.e. pixels.

Also, the grid needs to fixed. Now the grid change postion when you zoom in and out.

Normally, I want to place all panels on a 5x5 pixel grid, so being able to snap to that grid would save a lot of time. Right now it takes real dedication to place everything correctly. It should be easier, so we can spend our time and dedication on more important aspects of MooDling.

  Hi,  there is an option to switch the unit of measurement in File | Options | General (inches / cm / pixels) if you want to revert back?

  You are right in deducing we are using 100ppi..  This is the internal unit of measurement we always use, even when we display in cm.  I would therefore be very surprised if your panels have ACTUALLY moved rather than reporting that they have?

  As for the grid changing as you zoom out - as far as I know all we do is draw less of the grid lines so the page doesn't become too cluttered..  The snap positions should still be the same?

  Hi Matt,

  I have deduced that you use inches are the internal unit of measurement, because when I try to use cm it is impossible to place panels perfectly as there location and size are converted into inches. This is a different matter - I have accepted that cm are useless as unit of measurement.

  I did not mean that the panels move, only that the grid moves. However, I have just tested it, and you are right that the grid does not move. So, that it good.

  Then my only request is that the grid can use pixels as measurement unit.
