Sortable, Paginated Matrices

As the end user of a MooD solution,
I want to be able to sort paginated matrices,
so that I can see the top results of multiple columns with lots of data.
Benefits are that I am able to see the data which is important to me, in an easily digestable way.
Additional benefit to solution builder is the eradication of the decision of Sort OR Paginate.
An example of this might be a matrix with large volumes of data (eg: 10k rows) displaying three date columns and two numeric columns. The end user might wish to see the top 10 rows of each column without the need to load separate views of each or wait for the page to load all rows

At the moment we work around this with a combination of things - multiple matrices where feasible, non-paginated matrices where small enough, pre-sorted if applicable, and an Excel export if it's under 10,000 rows and the flexibility is required.
I'm not sure how this would work, but it is a little frustrating that you can't get the benefits of scrolling and pagination at the same time :)

User controlled Filters on the matrices would also be a great addition...
As too would be the ability to show data hierarchy....
