We realize these solutions via external storage solutions and JavaScript panels in MooD. Achieves what you want here, and integrates nicely. Also gives back IDs to MooD so you can have a relation to your files.

I have always said the dream for me on this - in my web solutions - is better hyperlink functionality i.e. even a hyperlink field dedicated to easy usage and styling that (like knowledge centres) could just pick up a pattern of hyperlinks easily (or similar) to relate a bunch of elements to pictures or documents or similar things. They don't necessarily have to be stored /in the database/ to be 'contained' inside the rep if the rep knows that the extension is .docx or any .extension in the URL, potentially?

Clarifying "my" statement above: As an architect I would like to be able to have files/documents embedded in the MooD SQL repository, and the document to be in the same .bak file as the rest of the repository. The documents could be a new Document Type (variant of Type) or possibly, more flexibly, have a new kind of MooD Field that is holds a document that is stored in the same MooD SQL repository; BA and EA functionality would be needed to embed/upload & open/download files.
