Group Data Sheets using Smart Columns

As a  solution builder

I want to be able to group my row query elements by a dynamically generated field (i.e. smart column)

So That i can define a grouping based on a calculated value rather than a static field.

Benefits more grouping options, less redundant field generation to allow for said grouping (won't have to create new fields and use SATs to populate them dynamically for this specific purpose)

Acceptance Criteria I should be able to click the 'Matrix' tab -> 'Group by' and find smart columns that return pick items, and use these pick items to group my rows.

Customer / Originator Production company, but this is a very generic feature

Priority: medium

In general, it would be extremely helpful if smart columns could be used for the same things as regular fields (e.g. matrix dimensions).

  Yes, this is an omission: Smart Columns should be available where ever fields are available.

  In the short term if you don't need editing you could always view the data using an Aggregation Matrix where you pin the source level?
