    Hi Rune,

we cannot yet confirm a date for build 85's release until we have completed some final testing, but we are hoping to have the release available by March, testing results dependent.  I will keep you updated,

    Kind regards

I agree to this one being very helpful, particularly when there's a set of matrices which to the end user is seen as presenting the same information, but the way of fetching that information differs.

From an LFV perspective, this should be "Mid".

And IMAGINE IF .... you could click a button to lock your matrix width to a certain width it would fit inside, and then you could rearrange your columns without it getting those 2px too wide so it doesn't fit on your model master without showing a scrollbar! That would be truly maginificent :-)

Could be marked on the ruler with a read line even!

Priority-wise I'm not sure since this is a "make it easier to work with MooD"-request from and for developers and not something customers are exposed to.Not sure.

    @Sören Staun:

About priority: "Mid" to me (and LFV) because it a) would help us deliver a more consistent looking user interface and b) it would save us a significant amount of time when working on said interfaces. Anything can be delivered with an infinite amount of time/resources, but since "infinity" rarely is the budget and delivery period anyone works with, to have some time saving/quality enhancing features such as the one suggested above would be really, really helpful... :)

We do have our 'solution builders' in mind; I like the suggestion and supporting argument gentlemen. :-)

@kevin: I think if you guys put yourself into the frame of mind where you are designing masters for model masters you may even be able to think up a few more easy extensions to this suggestion. Top of mind:

    • Drag'n' dropping columns in the matrix to swap columns instead of swapping them up top
    • Set columns to fixed width so they cannot be resized
    • Set fixed matrix size so columns can resize within the matrix
    • Would tabs like in word make sense? Not sure.

Hi all, I realise this isn't as good as the suggestions above but did you know you can r-click on a column header to set the width?

It's also shown in the tooltip and as of Build 85 it will include the left/right position:

Also there's a 'default column width' setting in the Matrix tab:

And I often use a handy tool called jRuler to help measure things:

Hi, also for Build 85 we've implemented an optional ruler (which scrolls with the Matrix)

    Hi Matt

Thanks for getting back to me. That looks awesome.

I'm currently on build 76, hopefully upgrading to 82 very soon, any word on when build 85 will be released?
