Embedded Facts inside IF ... THEN functions
As a Solution Builder
I want to create a Fact where I have an IF ...THEN function that includes an Embedded Fact
So That I can filter out results that are outside my zone of interest but have the other Facts returning results. Fact Filter is not appropriate.
Benefits Aggregation matrices, particularly those that I use to drive charts have Facts that return results outside my zone of interest (eg results less than 0) but other Facts return results
Acceptance Criteria:
- I create a set of Embedded Facts in an Aggregation matrix
- I execute the matrix and see that I have some outlier results (eg less than 0 or far greater than the results returned by other the other Facts
- I edit the offending Fact, inserting an IF … THEN function around the Fact such that if the result is outside my zone of interest I set the result to 0 (or another suitable value)
- I execute the matrix and the results returned by the Facts are within my zone of interest.

Hi Rupert, I'm unclear as to what you need here, would it be possible to provide an example?
Embedded facts are there to provide slightly different maths and I'm not sure they are appropriate for what you're talking about:
An embedded fact does this: SUM(X) / SUM(Y)
Whereas a normal fact would provide SUM(X/Y)
Matt.
