BA Should Not Stall When Closing A Matrix

When I close a matrix in BA - typically a data sheet - that takes a long time to execute, BA stalls (spinning cursor and not responding) for about as long time as it takes to execute the matrix. I would like BA to just close it immediately without stalling.

As far as I remember this behaviour was introduces 2-3 years ago, so I assume something changed.

This feature request fall into the category of making BA faster and less annoying to work with.

  Hi Peter, the only thing I can think is that you are saving as you close the Matrix and it is saving the preview image to the database?  Any more information which could help us to pin down this bug would be helpful.

  Hi Matt,

  This is what I do:

  1. Open the matrix
  2. Execute the matrix
  3. Wait for the execution to complete
  4. Save the matrix
  5. Close the matrix
  6. Wait for the matrix to close - seem to be as long time as it takes to execute

  I have seen other MooDlers experience this same behaviour many time, so I assumed everybody experienced this behaviour. Since it only affects usability and not BAs functionality, I do not see it as a bug. If you think this is a bug, then I will remove my request here and submit it a support request instead.

  I haven't seen this (and followed your steps to reproduce), I will keep an eye out for it.  Does it matter which Matrix type?
