Better integration with Visio

The ability to export WYSIWIG diagrams to Visio would be tremendously helpful.  I need to work with groups who ant to take my base models and add to them for their presentations.  these may be proposed future states or sales pitches for funding so I do not want to include them in my base MooD models.

  Hello Martin,

  Thanks for the request.

  I am pleased to say we already have a user story related to visio improvements high in the product backlog. That said, could you provide some more detail as part of this request and I will add your feedback onto the larger story. We use the below template to help make sure we have the right level of initial detail, would you be so kind as to fill this out and add your comments?

  As a <Persona> …… (e.g. Solution Builder, MAE End User, Database Administrator)

  I want <Feature> …… (e.g. More menu bar configuration options)

  So That <Description of what this feature will enable>…… (e.g. I can create better looking navigation bars with better functionality for the end user)

  Benefits <What will be gained> ……. (e.g. I will get more ROI/ I will save FTE hours to build new solutions)

  Acceptance Criteria <Description of what must happen to make the feature acceptable>

  1. …… (e.g. I have more configuration available to menu bars for font shadows)
  2. …… (e.g. I can save pre-defined styles and re-use these)

  Customer / Originator <Source of the story> (e.g. Car Production Company A / MooD User)

  Priority <What is the priority you would rate the story as having?> …... (e.g. Critical, High, Medium, Low)

  As a Business Architect

  I want better export to Visio

  So That Downstream users can add to diagrams to meet their short term needs.  These may be graphics, comments etc for their presentation or documentation

  Benefits MooD will be more widely used as the base for information.  This will increase interest to develop in MooD.

  Acceptance Criteria WYSYWIG output of diagrams (models).

              The current output to Visio is terrible.

  This request is now higher on our Product Backlog, and actively under review/grooming for up-coming work.

  In the next planned release, we will include Visio Import from modern versions of Visio.  Appreciate this hasn't hit the Export ask from above, but we're looking at the complexity involved in this one as a future consideration.
