Modal Overlay Popup

I want to configure an action button to navigate to an element that opens as a modal overlay popup instead of a new window

So that I can I open elements with a configured model master as a modal overlay popup

The benefits are same as the current functionality to open another model in a new window, but in a modern way as an modal overlay so users are not confused about the whatøs in focus.

Acceptance criteria are that the current navigation action in button, link button, and other panels that allow navigation, can be configured to open the element in as modal overlay popup.

Priority is high, because I experience more and more user that do not understand how to use the current non-modal new window correctly. The alternative is extra navigation to the element and back again, which with AE's currently slow page load is not a good option.

Hint: Have a look at the qtip2 javascript library. I allows you to open another model i an iframe as a modal overlay.

Just a quick update; We now have a standard "extension" to MooD Enterprise that enable us to do modern modal overlay pop-ups and tooltips, including navigation from inside a pop-up to a full window model outside the pop-up.

We have been using this "extensio" for about six months, and it is now a standard part of all our MooD Enterprise solutions.

Would still be nice to have it as standard functionality in MooD.
