Drawing of simple polygons on Google Maps panel within MooD.
I think this has been discussed in various circles previously however, I couldn't find it logged anywhere so at the risk of duplication here is the Google Maps ask. Thales are sending us a specification for what they need specifically so this post may evolve slightly to add more detail such as acceptance criteria.
Posted on behalf of Steve Hamilton, Thales - AQUILA programme.
As a Systems Engineer / Architect
I want to be able to draw/plot straight line vectors/ranges/polygons on the google maps panel based on datapoints such as latitude and longitude stored as fields on elements.
So That we can use the google maps API functionality inpanel to highlight geographical areas which are pertinent for the solutions we are building.
Benefits The models we are building heavily feature geographic locations such as airspace ranges or radar ranges, etc. Being able to dynamically plot these ranges would add massive value to presentation of architectures to end user community. There are several projects coming down the line that will make use of Maps functionality within the Thales portfolio.
Acceptance Criteria
- User must be able to select multiple fields stored on the element as Latitude/Longitude datapoints for positions within a drawn polygon.
- User must be able to colour/shade the range including applying Conditional formatting as required.
