Inline Form Element Editor - Custom name & Description orange pin variables
As a Solution Builder
I want the ability to define the custom name and custom description for a given field using a variable and orange pinning the variable to a field on a given element or text within a text editor.
So That i can create much more lightweight dynamic solutions that display meaningful content and text to the users, without the need to define what should be shown either in the field definition or in the configuration of the Inline form element editor.
For example. It would enable me to use the Inline form element editor to create a questionairre using a rather simple meta model where for instance there's 3 object types Question, Answer and Answer options. Answer relates to Question, Question relates to Answer options with many, and Answer relates to Answer options with Single relation.
Question has Fields called Question text and Question description, the rendering of the questionairre is a model master for Answer with an inline form element editor with the defined field "Answer has selected Answer option" contents of list is Answer options related to the Question which relates to the Subject Element Answer. Custom name is orange pinned to the subject element Answer's related Question's field Question text, similar for description.
The result would be a generic questionairre with a pretty simple setup that can incorporate additional complex functionality if needed.
In general the Inline Element form editor is one of the more powerful and versatile actions available in MooD due to the dynamic nature, and the ability to include all fields on an element. It would be really great to see further improments for this action, currently in B16.76 I still have to rely on custom scripting to get it to render well.
Benefits Better and less hard coded solutions, as well as the possiblity to manage display values for users through a user interface rather than through the BA client.
Acceptance Criteria Ability to configure a Questionairre similar to the one described above.
Customer / Originator Large governmental organisation with many and varied compliance needs.
