More ways of combining actions on action panels
As a solution developer and end user experience nerd
I want to be able to combine more actions and a lot more freely on action panels such as "Link button" and "Button".
So That I can achieve a better user experience without resorting to scripting.
Benefits: Easier to achieve an end user experience which aligns with their expectations. For instance, on a button, one of the things that I commonly want to do is save everything on the model before any other action is taken. However, if I do start out with the "save" action, I am immediately restricted in what the next action can be (e.g. I can no longer delete an element). There are other cases, such as when I push a button, I might want to create an object, create another object and then link them together. Currently, the only way to achieve this is to make a script which, when you push a button, goes in and push buttons (hidden) buttons in sequence. Scripting has a much higher cost of maintenance and a much higher bar to entry, which is the reason we try to stay away from them as much as possible...
Acceptance Criteria
- Less restrictive action sets, based on previous actions.
- Better ways of stringing together actions without resorting to what (by the end user) seems like unnecessary input or scripting (e.g. "create object 1" --> "create object 2" --> "link object 1 to object 2").

(I know I have raised this one before, but I think it might have been in a time before the Supportal or at least before I became aware of the supportal - regardless, I couldn't find it on here)

Thank you for the above Karl. I have an Epic in the backlog to look into this problem space as a wider piece (enabling workflows), we will be running a Discovery on the different options available, feasibility and what the order of development would need to be. So whilst I cannot give an idea of what that might look like or when it is likely to be delivered, I will be updating all customers and users with the plans once we have a better idea.
Kind regards
