Sometimes it is not immediately obvious the area symbols (i.e. panels, pictures, elements etc.) take up on the canvas, so it's easy to overlap with other content without realising it.
But, when symbols are placed over the top of interactive content (we will refer to as foreground symbols) it can affect solution performance; the more instances of Foreground Symbols, the more performance is affected.
To make it easier for users to identify when symbols (e.g. a panel, element etc.) are obstructing interactive content, there is now a function within the Selection Pane, called Foreground Symbols, which will show all instances of overlapping symbols on the canvas.
You can also tell MAE (and Web Preview) to show Foreground Symbol indicators by adding "&profile=true" to the URL:
How do I reduce Foreground Symbols?
- Make the interactive content as near the 'front' of the layered content as possible, by using the 'Bring Forward' or 'Bring to Front' commands found under "Arrange" in the Layout section of the Ribbon.
- Move or resize the non-interactive content so it no longer overlaps with the interactive content.
These changes are made available in Build 85
