The new Experimental Features paradigm in MooD provides valuable, although possibly incomplete, features which require community feedback before they can be fully integrated into the product.
Experimental Features are available in Business Architect via the Manage Repository menu.
These settings are stored in the repository and, when enabled, are available to all users of that repository, but only configurable by Administrators.
The first set of features are designed to help MooD Web Site designers control the positioning and growth of panels.
If these settings are altered while a model is open in Business Architect, the model window may need to be closed and reopened for extra ribbon commands to become available.
Web Layout Fixed Position
This is useful when using a panel which must remain in place on your model and follow the user when they scroll, such as a menu.
Options will appear on the Web ribbon, allowing control of the fixed anchor location.
Users may have to experiment with the anchoring mechanism and the Z-order of controls (i.e. Bring To Front) to ensure the panel remains on top. Layering models on top of model masters is currently problematic, as the model master is always the lowest Z order.
Web Layout Full Width
This is useful when a panel should utilise the width of the browser window. For instance, a menu control could combine Fixed Position Top Left (as above) and Full Width. This would cause the menu to fill the browser area and stay on the user's screen.
In conjunction with the Active Publishing styling options, as shown below, a web site can remove the left margin of a web page and produce a clean, unbounded look.
Web Layout Overflow
This feature is useful when you are using inline forms or Custom Visualizations, allowing controls to grow as big as they need in the specified direction; allowing dynamic scrolling past the normal model canvas boundary.
This feature is only configurable when scrolling is off, as the two options are mutually exclusive.
Custom Visualizations need to indicate support for this option and provide MooD the dynamic size.
These features were introduced in 16.082
