Header and Footer Rows
Header rows identify the columns that will become data types. If you have more than one header row, the headers are concatenated to help uniquely identify the data types when you move to the Confirm Data Types stage.
The footer rows specify how many rows at the end of the range to ignore on import. This is typically used to avoid importing totals.
The wizard will attempt to handle the header rows for you. However, the footer rows must be set manually.
How to Alter the Number of Header and Footer Rows
- Navigate to the Select a Data Range in the Microsoft Excel Synchronization Activator.
- Click the ‘header row’ or ‘footer row’ link in the bottom right hand corner.
- Type in the number of header/footer rows.
- Click ‘OK’.
