Links
Connections in a Business Landscape are represented on a Model by using Links. Links are visually represented by lines but also have other functions.
A Parent Link will only connect Elements if one Element is the parent of the other.
Relationship Links represent a Relationship between the two connected Elements on a Model. If a relationship does not exist between the two Elements one is created.
Lines connect any two items on a Model at a purely visual level. Unlike Parent Links and Relationship Links, Lines can connect anything on your Model.
How to Add a Link
In the Home tab on the ribbon, navigate to the Insert section. From here, click on “Links” to open the drop down menu and select the type of link you want to use.
Start the link by clicking on an item on the Model. The other end of the link will attach to your mouse pointer. Selecting a second item will release the link and complete the connection.
If you no longer want to add a link to your Model, pressing the Esc key will return your pointer back to normal.
