Milestones

Milestones are key points on the Timeline. There is no limit to how many milestones you can add to Timelines and Time Plots, but you can't add milestones to Information Against Time charts.

How to Add and Remove Milestones

1. Open the Bar, Milestone and Dependency lines dialogue box.
   
   
   
2. Open the Milestones tab.
   
   
   
3. Click "Add a milestone".
   
   
   
4. Click on the button next to 'Milestone date taken from:' to set the value location. i.e. where the date information comes from. By default this is set to "The Element..."
   
   
   
5. Click "Click to set a value" to add the date field the Element will use as the point for the milestone.
   
   
   
6. Click the button next to Formatting to change the style of the milestone point.By default this is set to a black diamond.
   
   
   
7. Click OK.
   

You can remove a milestone by clicking on the "X" next to the milestone's name.
