MooD 16.082 contains multiple improvements to Synchronizations, Custom Visualizations, and ease of use issues in Business Architect. There are also over 100 bug fixes, many of which were reported by our valued customers and partners (detailed in the Release Notes document below).
Synchronizations
This release heralds the introduction of a powerful Synchronization Preview feature, to help users detect erroneous data and understand what the result of an import will be, plus new field modifiers to help transform data into formats you need.
Synchronization - Execution Preview
Synchronization - Field Modifier improvements
Synchronization - Database snapshot permissions enhancement
Document Export - Formatted text output can now retain original formatting
Document Export - Matrices formatting improvements
Additionally, many issues have been fixed for Synchronizations including:
- incoming mixed case element names in relationship lookups would create duplicate elements in the repository, instead of matching case-insensitive.
- Excel Merge Export required Excel to be installed to configure it.
- Visio Import fails to import relationships and lines when stencils are connected together by lines.
- Documents Export – multiple formatted text in a matrix export removed spaces between formatting.
Custom Visualizations / Active Publisher
Given feedback from early adopters of our custom visualization platform, we've added some great features to help provide a better experience. We've also added a set of experimental features which may help you control some of your layouts

Analysis - Aggregation function to count weekdays
More features and issues around ease of use were also addressed, as detailed in the Release Notes found at the bottom of this page.
Additionally:
- Improved performance of the Repository Explorer when expanding the tree.
- Users can now align symbols when locked symbols are part of the selection.
- Grab handles are more ‘grabbable’ when the model is zoomed out.
- The Select pane now includes grouped and locked symbols.
- The flipside panel is no longer artificially tall when the owning symbol is tall.
- Many confirmation prompts in MooD now follow a similar UI.
- The modified ‘*’ in tabs has been replaced with a large blue dot on the left – making it easier to tell what’s modified when many tabs are open.
- To help users identify our components in Task Manager and improve communication with the support team, many of the MooD executables and services have now been prefixed with the word MooD.
- Aggregations: An incorrect list of fields is shown to the user when selecting fields of a Query Fact which is inside a Function Fact
